Manganese

Manganese in drinking and mineral water

Manganese is an essential trace element that can occur naturally in groundwater and mineral water. It is released through contact with manganese-bearing rocks and sediments.

The concentration is given in milligrams per litre (mg/L). Depending on the amount and water conditions, manganese can influence colour, taste or the formation of natural deposits. It is therefore also monitored as a water-quality parameter.

Check the current label or official analysis for the exact value. The manganese content is part of the water's composition and does not by itself indicate a particular therapeutic use.
