Zaječická hořká – the Saidschitz bitter water
Zaječická hořká is a traditional bitter water from Zaječice in northern Bohemia. In the German of the region it became known as "Saidschitzer Bitterwasser"; older writings also call it "Sedlitz bitter water". Zaječice is one of the driest areas in Bohemia – the water is collected there from shallow wells. It is bottled and distributed by Bohemia Healing Marienbad Waters a.s. in Mariánské Lázně.
Its distinctly bitter taste is typical of this water and comes from its very high natural content of magnesium and sulphate ions. Zaječická hořká is still and is bottled in its natural state; natural mineral deposits may occur.

Consumption and notes
Zaječická hořká is not a water for everyday thirst but a very highly mineralised bitter water. The information on the label applies to serving size and use. Because of the high sulphate and magnesium content, larger amounts can have a laxative effect. If you have any health questions, please consult your doctor.
Contains more than 1.5 mg/l fluoride: not suitable for regular consumption by infants and children under 7 years of age.
