JÓDAQUA is a liquid iodine food supplement from Hungary. The product is based on mineral-rich water from the Sóshartyán B-7 spring, which contains naturally occurring iodide.
Iodine is an essential trace element and must be regularly supplied to the human body through diet. Among other things, it contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones, normal thyroid function, and normal energy metabolism.
Iodide from the Sóshartyán B-7 spring
A recent laboratory analysis of the spring water used for JÓDAQUA shows an iodide content of 101 mg/l . The sample was taken directly from the Sóshartyán B-7 spring on December 9, 2025 .
In addition to iodide, the analyzed spring water naturally contains other minerals and components, including sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, chloride, bicarbonate, bromide and fluoride.

Iodine and iodide – what is the difference?
Laboratory analysis reveals the presence of iodide (I⁻) . Iodide is a chemical form of the trace element iodine. Therefore, with Gexa Plus, we deliberately differentiate between the analytically determined iodide content of the spring water and the amount of iodine in the recommended daily dose of the dietary supplement.
The previous product labeling for JÓDAQUA indicated an iodine content of 150 µg (100% NRV) per 1.5 ml. NRV = Nutrient Reference Value for adults according to Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011.
The stated recommended daily intake must not be exceeded.
